Search The Register

(first half only)

You only need to enter details into one of the fields above - you do not have to complete them all.
To become registered, therapists must either have passed a BACP-accredited course or our own Certificate of Proficiency.  They also have to sign the Terms and Conditions of the Register, which include our Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. These require members to have appropriate supervision and undertake continuing professional development.
More experienced members may choose to go on to our accreditation scheme, which requires them to demonstrate even higher levels of knowledge, experience and development. These are indicated as accredited members on the Register.
You can use this search to check whether a specific therapist is registered. If you want therapy and are looking for qualified counsellors or psychotherapists in your area, please see our Find a Therapist directory. This is a paid for directory where members can advertise their services to potential clients.
